WW1 French Officer (Mid-Late War)
Not long after the war began it became apparent that the need of less conspicuous uniforms, and protecive headwear was necessary, so our WW1 French Officer has the Adrian helmet and Horizon-blue tunic and trousers. As an officer, he wears higher quality boots than would be afforded the rank and file, and his equipment is to support and direct the men under his command. He has a binoculars case and a map case, a trench torch in a pouch on his front, and his revolver pouch and weapon for personal protection. Rank insignia was displayed on the tunic cuffs, and the chevrons on his arms denote service length and times wounded.
