WWII German Plane Tree Torso
Waffen-SS Plane Tree camo (Platanenmuster). The term refers to the Platanaceae species, better known as the sycamore. The material was first produced in 1936 and continued through to 1944. The pattern was reversible with a summer (pictured) and autumn side allowing for greater coverage of the year. The pattern was also used for helmet covers, smocks, and zeltbahns.
