[RESTOCKING] WWII French Officer
As usual, officers were permitted a greater degree of freedom regarding their uniform, with private purchases and tailoring being common. From 1938, officers could wear an open-collared tunic, with a white shirt and black tie. Many officers still had the right to ride while their men marched, and so leather riding boots were often worn. Equipment carried was minimal, usually confined to a pistol for personal defence, and map case and binoculars case.
